Turkish Airlines' (THY) cargo services has launched scheduled freighter flights to the Libyan airport Mitiga, 8 kms from Tripoli.
The flights will commence twice-weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Depending on demand, the A310 Freighter, which offers a capacity of 36 tons or the A330-200 Freighter, which offers a capacity of 65 tons, will be delivering the cargo.
According to a company press release, Turkish Airlines' cargo services is one of the first cargo carriers to resume flights into the country after the political upheaval.
