HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani yesterday held official talks with Abdel Rahim al-Kib, the premier of Libya’s transitional government.
Discussions explored “ways of expanding co-operation in various sectors and focused on the latest developments in Libya as well as ways of realising the aspirations of the Libyan people to welfare and progress and maintaining security all over the Libyan territories”.
Regional and international issues of mutual concern were also reviewed.
The talks were attended by a number of Qatari ministers as well the official delegation accompanying al-Kib. HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the Libyan premier and the accompanying delegation.
Al-Kib and his accompanying delegation are on a several days’ official visit to Qatar. HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud received them at Doha International Airport earlier yesterday.
