Defense News reports that Boeing, which makes the Chinook helicopter, is in discussions with the State Department about opportunities to provide used Army CH-47E helicopters to Tripoli.
“Libya is anxious for some additional capability,” said Raymond Haddad, Boeing’s head of Chinook sustainment.
The State Department and U.S. Congress must sign off on foreign weapons sales.
