Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) has signed an agreement on Sunday with the Libyana mobile phone company under which Libyana will supply mobile telecommunications services for workers and oilfield sites operating in the Sahara.
The Managing Director of Libyana, Salah Al-Mukhtar, said that this agreement is an important step for the country's second largest mobile phone operator.
The Director General of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at the NOC, Mohamed Al-Bacha, said that this agreement will provide an opportunity to strengthen its communication through services offered by mobile telephony.
