Updated: Libya's New Cabinet Line-Up

The proposed list is as follows:
The following four ministers retain their portfolios from the current cabinet:

  • Sulaiman al-Sahli [Suleiman al-Sahli, Sulaiman Sayeh], Minister for Education;
  • Mohammad Hadi Hashemi Harari, Minister for Local Government;
  • Naim Abdul Rahman Ghariani [Naeem Algherinay, Naim Alghriani], Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research;
  • Mahmoud Futaisi [Mohamed Al-Fteissi, Mahmoud Fetais, Mahmoud Al-Ftaisi], Minister for Industry

Newly-proposed ministers:

  • Dr. Omar Ahmed Nakua [Omar Ali Al-Nakua], First Deputy Prime Minister;
  • Al-Haramain Mohamed Al-Haramain, Second Deputy Prime Minister;
  • Saad Agila El-Obaidi, Third Deputy Prime Minister;
  • Saleh al-Obeidi [Abdelsalam Jadallah al-Obeidi, Abdusalam Jadallah al-Salheen Saleh Obedie], Minister of Defense;
  • Omar al-Aswad, Minister for the Interior;
  • Dr. Abdallah Shamia [Abdullah Shamiya], Minister for Finance. Has taught economics at Benghazi university;
  • Professor Mustafa Abu Vas [Mustafa Abu Fanas], Minister for the Economy;
  • Mabrouk Issa Abu Harroura [Al-Mabrouk Eissa Abu Haroura, Al-Mabrouk Aissa Abu Harura], Minister for Oil and Gas. Reuters reports that he is veteran of Zueitina Oil Company, and has also worked in the oil industry abroad;
