The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), the state-owned company responsible for the production and distribution of electrical power, recently signed a contract with Siemens to supply and install spare parts at the Khoms steam power station.
The Information Office of GECOL said that the deal was worth just over 5 million Libyan dinars.
Siemens will supply and install spare parts and implement services needed to conduct maintenance to steam generators and to update and renew some control and monitoring equipment.
