Libya Business News sources in Tripoli report that the Rixos al Nasr Hotel (pictured) in the city is under attack from militia who are trying to target the General National Council.
The attack comes following the deaths of at least 22 people in the town of Bani Walid, a stronghold of the former leader Muammar Gaddafi, which is being shelled by pro-government forces.
Meanwhile, confusion continues over the reported capture of Moussa Ibrahim, former spokesman for Gaddafi, by the forces of the interim Libyan government.
