The British Embassy in Libya has announce that applications for Chevening Scholarships are now open and will remain so until 2 January 2013.
Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. They are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential and are usually for a one-year Master’s degree at any of the UK’s leading universities. Candidates wishing to apply should click here.
Scholarships are provided for any subject but the British Embassy in Tripoli is this year prioritising the following subjects:
- Public administration and public financial management
- Politics, governance, democracy, human rights and gender
- Leadership, management and project management
- Economics, finance, entrepreneurship and business administration
- Law
Applicants are expected to speak English so that they can study at a British university and must arrange to take an English language test before they apply; more information on teh English language test can be found here.
