Libya's Integrity Commission has ordered Nabil Elalem (pictured), the president of the Libyan National Olympic Committee, and two other executive members to be removed from office.
According to a report from Tripoli Post, although no official explanation has been given for the move, it was said that he failed to meet "standards of integrity".
Two other LNOC members, including Abdulqadir Al-Qublawi Omar Alwandi, the head of the executive of the board, and president of the Libyan Swimming Federation have also been removed from the executive board.
Mr Elalem was kidnapped last summer, days before the Olympic Games, but was released days later.
