Egypt’s Oil Minister has reportedly met with the management of Libya's Zawia [Zawiya] Oil Refinery (pictured), in what is understood to be a series of field visits by the Egyptian oil ministry to various oil production sites in Libya.
According to reports from LANA, the meeting included the NOC Chairman Nuri Berruien [Nuri Balrwin], head of the Zawia Refinery, Imad Benkura, as well as various managers at the refinery and the security heads.
During the meeting the officials reviewed refinery activities and discussed ways to resolve obstacles and bottlenecks affecting efficiency.
It was confirmed that Egypt would be playing a role in Libya’s refining sector and that plans would be revealed soon detailing just what that role would be.
