The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has issued more information on the oil find announced last week.
The find was made at well A1-96/01, in contract area 95/96 in the Ghadames Basin. The well is located approximately 360 km southwest of Tripoli and 70 km south of the El-Wafa field.
Partners in the project are Sonatrach (SIPEX) Libya (Operator), Oil India, and Indian Oil.
The initial production test results from the Carboniferous Tahara Formation are as follows:
