It was announced on Monday that Libya will host the tenth conference of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) in 2014.
According to the Libya Herald, the announcement came following a meeting between Libyan oil minister Abdulbari Ali Abdel-Hadi Al-Arusi [Dr. Abdulbari Alarusi] and OAPEC Secretary General Abbas Al-Naqi (pictured), and is expected to support the country's post-revolution development and reconstruction.
The focus of the OAPEC gathering will be on the sustainable development of energy sources throughout the Arab world.
