Govt Delegation visits Dubai Electricity and Water Authority

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received a special delegation from the Executive Education Programme of the Government of Libya, which included a number of officials from the public and private sectors.

This is part of DEWA's focus on enhancing cooperation and exchange of information with various local and regional government departments, and private organisations.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, welcomed the delegation, and highlighted the importance of the visit to exchange expertise and best practices.

EVPs, VPs, and heads of departments in DEWA made special presentations to the delegation, including on the strategy of DEWA to adopt international best practices to become a sustainable world-class utility.

Al Tayer said:

"We work as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to promote sustainable development in the Emirate of Dubai.

"In line with our vision to become a sustainable world-class utility, DEWA contributes to the economic, social, and environmental development of Dubai, by providing stable and uninterrupted supplies of electricity and water. We are proud of DEWA's achievements over the years, and of the future plans that we are currently implementing.

"Based on our commitment to encourage Arab youth to enhance their knowledge to contribute to the development of the economy and society, we strive to transfer our expertise in the field of training and administration to all those are interested in drawing from our experience."
