Med Cross Lines has announced that as from the second half of May, a second ship will be added to the company's Libya Ro-Ro Containers service.
An additional port will also be added to the service -- Augusta in eastern Sicily -- thus offering the possibility of transshipment also to other destinations in north Africa.
The 2 services now serve the following ports :
- MXL – north-south service-1 : Koper – Venice – Ancona – Bari – Augusta ------ to Libya.
- MXL – east-west service-2 : Izmir – Mersin – Alexandria – Augusta ------ to Libya.
Ports served in Libya, either directly or in transshipment, are :
- Tripoli – El Khoms – Misratah – Benghazi – Tobruk
Other markets served in transhipment :
- Algeria, Tunisia
