The Libyan government has denied reports that it is seeking to resume arms supplies from Russia.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense told Libya Herald that there was no truth whatsoever in rumours that Libya had asked Moscow to lift its arms embargo and restart weapons supplies.
Russia, which was Gaddafi’s primary provider of weaponry, is said to have lost contracts worth $4 billion as a result of the Revolution.
