Tripoli Post reports that the 100 civil servants have started the Leaders Programme run by the Dubai School of Government (DSG).
The Leaders Programme is an outcome of an agreement between the Dubai School of Government and the Veterans Affairs Commission in Benghazi. As part of the agreement, DSG has developed an educational leadership programme that is being delivered to 300 select Libyan government representatives in three batches of 100 participants each.
This second batch of 100 delegates is from Libya’s ministries of Labour, Health, and Education as well as the Electricity and Water Authority, and the Environment General Authority.
As part of the programme, the School will organise a series of field visits from end-June to government departments such as Dubai Police, Department of Finance, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Government Excellence Programme, Department of Economic Development, Roads and Transport Authority, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, and the Ministry of State for Federal National Council.
In addition to offering an understanding of the workflow of these departments, the visits will help participants identify best practices within the government authorities.
