Maltese opposition foreign affairs spokesman Carm Mifsud Bonnici (pictured) has again called for Malta to make better use of trade opportunities with Libya, building on the good will generated by Malta’s help during the civil war.
Speaking in parliament, he said the number of Maltese exhibitors at the recent Libya Build event was small, compared to the hundreds of Italian exhibitors present.
Dr Mifsud Bonnici said the enhanced attention could be spearheaded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This could be most important for employment opportunities in Malta.
