Livestock exports from Ireland have increased by 74 percent so far this year, due mainly to higher numbers of calves being exported to the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain, but also due to the resumption of exports to North Africa.
Libya has so far imported 7,500 head of cattle from Ireland, followed by Tunisia (2,500) and Morocco (700).
Ireland re-started exports to Libya in February.
