Rumours that production at the Zawia refinery had stopped due to the ongoing disruption at oil facilities has resulted in massive queues outside petrol stations across Tripoli.
But a media spokesman for the refinery has told the Libya Herald that the rumours are unfounded and there is no problem at the refinery.
Mohammed Othman said:
"There is no reason to panic ... The refinery is working normally. It is producing 100 percent. ... There are no plans to stop. It’s just rumours."
