UNSMIL Tender for Mortuary Services

The United Nations Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) located along OEA Village, Janzour, Tripoli, LIBYA, intends to solicit bids for the Provision of Mortuary Services for handling the remains of its authorized personnel for a long-term contract (3X1 Year), extendable on a yearly basis, subject to extension of UNSMIL mandate, availability of funds and satisfactory performance by the prospective contractor (s).

The contractor shall provide facilities, equipment, licensed personnel, motor vehicles, professional services, supplies, death certificates, caskets, urns, outer shipping containers, transportation, and perform hygienic practices.

Full details of contractual requirements will be provided to those companies who expressed their interest and submitted initial relevant information regarding their ability to fulfill the requirement. For this purpose, UNSMIL will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) with detailed specifications to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNSMIL’s requirement.

Please note the following:

  1. This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid;
  2. Vendors interested in participating in this solicitation are invited to express their interest via fax or email by filling out the below Vendor Response Form citing the full name of the company, complete address, telephone and fax number as well as the name and title of a designated point of contact;
  3. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. UN reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. It should be noted that by submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee or obligate UN to invite any particular company to participate in the subsequent bidding process. Only those prospective companies that are deemed qualified by UN upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission to the EOI will be invited to participate in any subsequent tender exercise; and
  4. UNSMIL reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
