The United Nations and the Libyan Ministry of Defence are pleased to invite you to attend a roundtable discussion they are jointly organizing on the theme: “The Role of Women in Dialogue and Peace-Building in Libya".
The event will be held in Tripoli on 13 November 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Corinthia Hotel, Shahat Conference Room.
The objective of the round-table discussion is to highlight the role of women in national dialogue and peace-building processes during Libya’s democratic transition and to inform decision-makers on the importance of the role of Libyan women as fundamental actors and partners in dialogue and social peace initiatives at the local and national levels.
A delegation from Yemen headed by H.E. Mrs. Hooria Mashhour, the Yemeni Minister of Human Rights, will take part in the event to share the Yemeni women’s experience in partaking in the national dialogue in their country.
