They are ready to point fingers at all of their rivals, without exception, accusing them of failure and treason. This scenario will come to pass in different forms in Libya, Tunisia and Egypt. It will serve as a breath of life for extremists, which will lead them to take central stage again by force of arms.
One may wonder, does this mean there is some sort of alignment between internal and foreign agendas? The Libyan scene has entered the vicious cycle of armed clashes. This is only a normal result of the gloomy agenda espoused by the government in face of the agendas of political powers. Every party is working toward the fulfillment of its own goals without taking into consideration national interests, which must prevail over partisan or personal interests.
The road map, which Libya found itself following, foretells a miserable failure leading the country to a lose-lose armed conflict. Political parties cannot bring themselves to agree on Libyan national values. They do not give any importance to the impact of their acts on Libyan public opinion, which has become more mature and patriotic than a large number of prominent figures on the scene.
A quick glance at the Libyan situation will uncover the delicacy of the future. The government is importing large quantities of weapons. If competent authorities are not actually able to control the situation on the ground, as well as their members and camps, who, then, is acquiring these weapons? Undoubtedly, the answer is militias and terrorist groups.
Until now, two and a half years after the eruption of the revolution, no one knows where the money was spent, how much is still available, who is supervising the expenditures and who is holding the violators accountable. Is it normal following the great revolution for the people not to know where their money is spent, especially since they are struggling in every aspect of their lives? I sincerely hope that it is not actually too late.
