German oil and gas company Wintershall has stopped oil production in Libya due to security problems at the ports, according to Reuters.
A spokesman for company, a subsidiary of the BASF group, said that it is currently unclear when the blockade of export terminals will be lifted and how quickly production in the Libyan desert can resume.
The company's offshore Libyan production is unaffected.
