The Council of the European Union has decided to lift restrictive measures against Libya's Housing and Infrastructure Board (HIB).
The HIB is the Libyan institution in charge of public housing projects in Libya, dependent from the Ministry of Housing.
An announcement from the EU Delegation to Libya said the decision would "have a very positive impact in the reactivation of Libya-EU economic ties and will facilitate the restarting of infrastructure projects suspended during the revolution".
The EU sanctions against Libya, which dated back to 2011, aimed at preventing members of the Gaddafi family, prominent members of the previous regime and certain entities still controlled by these persons, from accessing assets held abroad against the interests of the Libyan population.
