Jordan's ambassador to Libya has been freed, according to reports from BBC News and Deutsche Welle.
Fawaz al-Itan, who was abducted by gunmen in Tripoli last month, was released unharmed and is reportedly already en route to Jordan.
The kidnappers had reportedly demanded the release of a Libyan Islamist militant in exchange, but it is unclear whether this was granted.
