The chairman of Libya's state-oil firm, the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Nuri Berruein [Nuri Balrwin] (pictured), has resigned on Friday.
Reuters reports that a company spokesman gave no reason for the resignation.
Recent protests by militias, tribesmen and state employees have caused havoc in the oil and gas industry.
