Med Cross Lines (MXL) has added a third ship to its intra-Med services covering the major markets and connections to Libya.
With the new ship Ro-Ro MN PELICAN (pictured) deployed in the east-west Med service, together with the sister-ship Ro-Ro TRADER, the frequency is now every 14 days covering the markets of:
- West-loop: SPAIN (Sagunto), FRANCE (Marseille), ITALY (Livorno) to Algeria, Libya, Egypt and Lebanon;
- East-loop: GREECE (Piraeus), TURKEY (Derince, Izmir, Mersin) , LEBANON (Beirut) to Libya, Tunisia, Algeria.
The third ship, the Ro-Ro TRANSPORTER remains in the connection north-south, covering the ports in Adriatic Sea (VENICE, KOPER, BARI, PIRAEUS) to Libya, also with frequency every 2 weeks.
Port of Piraeus in Greece is the ‘hub’ where the 3 services 'cross the Med'.
Other connections are under study, and will be announced during 2014.
