Oil production resumed at the Sharara oilfield on Monday, following an improvement in security at the Zawiya refinery, which it supplies.
The field, Libya's largest, had reopened following a deal with protestors in July, but shelling near the Zawiya refinery last week forced a temporary stop in production.
The Wall Street Journal quotes an official at the National Oil Corporation (NOC) as saying that the field was currently producing about 70,000 barrels a day, down from its usual 340,000 bpd.
Sharara is operated by Spanish oil major Repsol.
