Libyan women activists met with the Arab League Special Envoy for Libya, Nasser Al-Kidwa, and Ambassador Enas Mekkawi, director of women programs at the Arab League, during a visit to Arab League Headquarters in Cairo recently.
The visit was organized by the Women's Empowerment Section of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in cooperation with the Swedish Institute Alexandria, UN Women and the Arab League and aims to exchange expertise on constitution drafting and the mechanisms to ensure women’s rights in the constitution.
