Reuters reports that Libya's internationally recognised government in Tobruk has appointed a new Chairman to the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
Prime Minister Abdullah Al Thinni's government had originally confirmed NOC chairman Mustafa Sanallah, but has now replaced him with Al Mabrook Bou Seif.
Little is known about Bou Seif, but he is understood to be from the same tribe as Ibrahim Jathran, the rebel leader who seized major oil ports in the east for one year to press for regional autonomy.
