The internationally-recognised government of Abdullah Al-Thinni has named Mohamed Al-Arabi as deputy chief for the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
The move comes one month after appointing Al-Mabrook Buseif as the organisation’s chairman, while merging the Ministry of Oil and Gas and the NOC into a single body, reports Libya Herald.
Al-Thinni said last week that the government is setting up a new settlement mechanism for payment for oil, to ensure that revenues do not reach Tripoli banks and possibly fall into the hands of Libya Dawn.
