A Libyan official has told Asharq Al-Awsat that Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni’s [Al-Thani, al-Thanay] (pictured) may consider resigning from his position.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a member his cabinet told the news agency that the Libyan PM “wishes to withdraw quietly from political action as he is exhausted and working in an extremely tough atmosphere.”
At least five candidates are said to be "secretly competing" to succeed the Prime Minister.
