The pipeline from the Sarir oilfield to Hariga port (Marsa al Hariga) was sabotaged by a bomb on Saturday, resulting in a fire that finally extinguished on Sunday.
According to the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Sarir was currently the highest-producing oilfield in Libya, with an output of 185,000 barrels per day (bpd).
Libya’s production level fell to about 325,000 barrels a day in January from almost 900,000 barrels in October.
