Nine foreigners working for the Malta-based Austrian oil services company Value Added Oil Services (VAOS) have been abducted from in central Libya.
The four Filipinos, two Bangladeshis, an Austrian, a Czech and a Ghanaian are reported to were taken by militants linked to the Islamic State (IS, ISIS, ISIL).
They were working at the al-Ghani oil field (pictured) near Zalla, 750 kilometers southeast of Tripoli.
There are also unconfirmed reports that nine workers were killed in the attack.
