Authorities in Egypt have reportedly closed the Musaid-Sollum border crossing with Libya.
A spokesman for Tobruk Municipal Council told the Libya Herald that the Egyptians closed the border to Libyan travellers because of last week’s assassination of Egypt’s Public Prosecutor, Hisham Barakat, and the current military operations in Sinai.
The closure is not thought to affect Egyptians returning home.
