Tunisia is reportedly beginning work on defence barriers along the entire length of its 459-kilometer border with Libya.
The Tunisian government says that the barrier, to be completed by the end of the year, is essential to stop the movement of terrorists and smugglers, and will patrolled by drones and equipped with sophisticated electronic surveillance.
But according to an article in Libya Herald, revolutionary fighters in Tripoli have angrily denounced the work as a “blatant attack on Libyan sovereignty” and an act of aggression.
