The EU has increased its humanitarian funding for Libya by €6 million as the conflict endures and needs continue to rise.
The funding is addressed to people who have been displaced by the conflict, migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
The new funds will primarily support the delivery of items such as kitchen sets, blankets and mattresses, as well as health and protection for the most vulnerable people.
They will also help humanitarian organisations better assess the situation, so they can improve their response to needs on the ground.
Since the crisis escalated a year ago, the European Commission has mobilised a total of €8.76 million in support of the UN, international organisations and international NGOs to respond to humanitarian needs in Libya.
