The Governor of the Tripoli-based Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Saddek Omar Elkaber [al-Sadiq al-Kabir; El-Kaber], will give a briefing on Tuesday to the members of the United Kingdom's Foreign Affairs Select Committee.
The broad-ranging inquiry is looking into the UK’s 2011 intervention, post-conflict assistance to the transitional administration, the breakdown in security and the UK’s role in addressing migration and people trafficking. The inquiry is also assessing future UK policy options for Libya.
Mr Mustafa Sanallah, Chairman of the Triploi-based National Oil Corporation (NOC), and Mr AbdulMagid Breish, Chairman and CEO of the Tripoli-based Libyan Investment Authority (LIA), plan to attend at a later date.
