Fighters from the Islamic State group (IS, ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) have clashed with members of the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG), at the oil port of Es Sider [Sidra], killing two.
The militants are said to have been pushed back, but IS says it now controls Bin Jawad, 30km (19 miles) west of Sidra on the road from its stronghold in Sirte, according to a report from BBC News.
IS, which has been operating in Libya for about a year, failed to take Es Sider in an attack last October.
