The United Kingdom is sending about 20 troops to Tunisia to help stop people crossing illegally from neighbouring Libya.
Defense Secretary Michael Fallon (pictured) said on Monday that a training team from the 4th Infantry Brigade would help Tunisian authorities, adding that Britain was willing to provide military advice and training to Libya's new unity government.
But he clarified that "we do not intend to deploy ground forces in any combat role."
The Minister also denied that British pilots embedded with other air forces had taken part in missions over the country.
