Members of Libya’s UN-backed Presidential Council have reportedly arrived in Tripoli, defying opposition attempts to keep them out.
According to a report from Reuters, seven members of the council, including prime minister designate Fayez Sarraj, arrived by boat from Tunisia at Tripoli’s Abusita naval base amid tight security on Wednesday.
Tripoli’s airspace was closed intermittently on Sunday and Monday, a move the council claimed was designed to prevent it from reaching the capital.
