Mr. Faiez Mustafa El Serraj, President of the Presidential Council, along with members of the Presidential Council, met with Mr. Saddek Elkaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), at the headquarters of the Presidential Council in Tripoli to discuss issues concerning public affairs.
Topics of discussion:
- Managing the cash liquidity problem and opening documentary letters of credit for basic goods and medicine.
- Providing security and safety for commercial banks and also restoring the value of the Libyan Dinar.
- The immediate return of production and export of oil and gas.
- Provide the basic needs to alleviate the suffering of the citizens.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the CBL welcomed Mr Serraj, describing his appointment as "the start of a new era, hopefully ending division within the country."
