A tanker suspected of smuggling 85,000 litres of diesel to Malta has reportedly been intercepted by the Libyan coast guard.
According to the Libya Observer, Libyan authorities have detained the tanker's Syrian captain and two Egyptian nationals.
The Togo-flagged vessel was captured just north of Abu Kammash district and taken to Tripoli's Abu Sitta naval base.
