Tanks are surrounding the last remaining stronghold of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS, IS, Daesh) group in Libya, trying to recapture the coastal city of Sirte.
It's being bombed from the air and bombarded on the ground by forces fighting for the pro-unity government based in Tripoli.
