The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, recently received H. E. the British Ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Messrs. Abulgasem Shengheer and Elamari Mohamed, Members of the Board of Directors and Mr. Abd Er-rizaq Ben Yousif, Manager of the General Department of Development and Human Resources, in addition to Mr. Salah Ben Ali Manager, Office of International Cooperation.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas field and the role of the British companies in developing this industry.
The Ambassador expressed his country’s willingness to provide technical consultancy and technology in the oil and gas field which contributes to upgrading the production levels and the prosperity of the national economy.
For his part, Mr. Chairman pointed to the problems and difficulties that face the oil and gas sector at present asserting that NOC is exerting its efforts to resume production with its previous levels.
The meeting also dealt with several issues related to training and capacity building, and discussing how to facilitate the visa application procedures for NOC trainees to enter the U.K.
