Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister has said that the country is not planning to reopen its embassy in Libya, due to security concerns.
Mikhail Bogdanov (pictured) told Sputnik:
“To date, there is neither Russian military nor civilian presence in Libya. For now, we are not planning to restore it, including on security grounds. We are not even mentioning military presence.”
The Embassy was closed in October 2013 after gunmen attacked the compound.
