One of Libya's leading smugglers of alcohol and illegal migrants has reportedly been arrested in the Girgarish area of Tripoli.
In a video confession, Ashraf Al-Zayet admitted said he cooperated with three other accomplices from Tajura, Zliten and Zuwara from whom he had received illegal migrants. He said he used to receive between LD 8,000 to LD 12,000 per boat.
The arrest was made by the RADA Special Deterrence Force.
