Members of the Libyan Political Dialogue met on 11-12 November 2016 in Malta.

They discussed the developments of the political process and the obstacles that obstruct full implementation of the Political Agreement. They agreed to further discuss the issue in the upcoming Libyan political dialogue in mid-December.

The Libyan Political Dialogue called on the House of Representatives to amend the Constitutional Declaration as stipulated in the Libyan Political Agreement.

The members of the Political Dialogue urged the Presidency Council to improve its performance to address the stifling security, social and economic problems that face Libyan citizens across the country.

Members of the Political Dialogue called upon all parties not to resort to violence or use weapons to settle political conflicts.

The Political Dialogue commended the progress in fighting and defeating terrorism in Libya as well as the efforts and substantial sacrifices in this regard.

Members of the Political Dialogue also welcomed efforts exerted across Libya to achieve reconciliation at the local and national levels, which contribute to the efforts towards strengthening national unity.

On this occasion, the Libyan Political Dialogue expressed its deep appreciation to the Government of Malta for facilitating the organization of the Political Dialogue session and for its continued support to the political process.
