Libya Herald reports that the Secretary-General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), Kunio Mikuriya, flew into Mitiga airport recently for talks with the Libya authorities based in Tripoli.
He was met by the Director General of the Customs Department, Brigadier Mustafa Azzam Turjaman, and a number of heads of departments.
According to a Presidency Council statement, the two discussed future plans for customs operations in Libya, including anti-smuggling efforts.
