The Islamic State group (IS, ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) has reportedly claimed responsibility for Monday's attack on the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
The attack was the first of its kind against the leadership of Libya’s oil industry.
According to Bloomberg, the group regards the Libyan oil fields as a “legitimate target”.
